Art!

Februarys inspiration of the month is artwork! Choose a painting that you find inspiring and create a piece that you feel resembles the artwork. Think about:

• How does the art make you feel? Happy, sad, angry or peaceful?

• What textures and layers are in the art work and how could this be represented in music?

• Is the art work made of sharp lines and angles or soft curves? How might this affect your music?

• What colours are in the artwork? Do they give the art a certain character?

Bonus Task! How about creating your own art work! Try drawing or painting your own piece of art as inspiration for your music. Try improvising on your instrument your first reactions to the art work you have created.
